HKBU successfully held the Student-Athletes Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2025-2026 on 23 October 2025! 9 elite athletes received scholarships to pursue "dual careers" at HKBU.

This year's outstanding recipients:

TSANG Cho Kiu (Wushu) | IP Wing Yan (Basketball) | LAW Ngai Him (Athletics)

TANG Cheuk Yin (Fencing) | CHIU Chun Yin (Karate) | CHEUNG Chi Wai (Volleyball)

TUNG Yui Hang (Taekwondo) | MA Wai Yin (Rhythmic Gymnastics) | YU Chun Yin (Para Sports)

Outstanding achievements:

• LAU Chi Lung - 2 golds & 1 silver at World Wushu Championships

• YU Chun Yin - 3 gold medals at 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games

HKBU is committed to providing comprehensive support to Hong Kong athletes! Since launching the Elite Athletes Admission Scheme in 2016, the University has admitted more than 100 student-athletes. In 2022, HKBU introduced the Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme (TADAS) in response to the UGC's SALSA Scheme, offering flexible study arrangements. The Students with Exceptional Talent Direct Admissions Scheme (SETDAS) further enhances support for talented athletes.

Prof. Patrick Lau encouraged students to utilize university resources for greater success.
