HKBU Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme Interviews Beyond Limits

Pursuing dreams on the sports field whilst creating futures on campus! The Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme (TADAS) not only helps student-athletes balance their sporting and academic development but also provides additional support, enabling them to surpass their limits and soar to new heights! In this final episode of the TADAS interview series, two students from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Physical Education and Recreation Management programme: third-year student Daniel Chan Ho-yuen and second-year student Lip Kin-kwan, who were admitted through TADAS’s predecessor, the Elite Athletes Admission Scheme (EAAS), share their stories of pursuing dreams with HKBU’s robust support.

To address the various needs of student-athletes, HKBU offers flexible learning arrangements that allow them to balance academics with training. Special arrangements for examinations and coursework are made available when athletes need to travel abroad for competitions or focus on training. For Lip Kin-kwan’s specific needs, HKBU’s Unit for Students with Special Educational Needs (USSEN) provides tailored arrangements.

HKBU offers office space and business mentorship to Daniel, supporting his entrepreneurial endeavours post-retirement, enabling him to bring education to SEN and disabled students.

Every athlete deserves a stage to pursue their dreams. At HKBU, they can push beyond their limits and create endless possibilities!
