Student-athletes who graduate through HKBU’s Talented Athletes Direct Admission Scheme (TADAS) pursue various career paths. Two Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Physical Education and Recreation Management graduates, Liu Hoi Yan Ivy and Wong Tsz To, who were admitted through TADAS’s predecessor, the Elite Athletes Admission Scheme (EAAS), return and work in the university environment and continue his full-time athletic career, respectively.
With a heart rooted in heritage, track hurdler Ivy has become a Teaching Assistant in HKBU’s Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health, sharing her experiences with TADAS juniors. Hong Kong triathlete Wong Tsz To aspires to become a coach in the future, applying the theories and teaching methods learned at HKBU to give back to both his alma mater and the Hong Kong Triathlon Association.
Compared to EAAS, TADAS offers enhanced funding and more comprehensive support for athletes, including academic scholarships and major sports competition grants. This effectively reduces students’ financial pressure whilst providing practical support in schedule management and career development guidance.
Let’s learn about their stories of growing and developing at HKBU!
